ESSAY: SUSTAINABILITY FOR OSGDS

Paragraph 1:

Our Sustainable Green Dream School Project is about sustainability and we had to design a sustainable school using as a model the Abraham Lincoln School. The expression “sustainable” means the ability to produce our own energy without affecting others, and that is our purpose. During all this time, we have created many aspects for our school but always taking into account the 3 aspects: social, economic and environmental aspect. Also, Miss Gomez-Casseres had had the leadership during all this 10 years.

Paragraph 2:

Actually, Abraham Lincoln school has many good environmental campaigns. But these doesn´t mean it is sustainable. Anybody said Abraham Lincoln is 100% sustainable so, most of people said the school was not sustainable if we compare it with one of the most sustainable schools in Latino America “the Rochester school”.

Paragraph 3:

After we interviewed people, we could conclude that Abraham Lincoln is in the beginning of being sustainable. From 23 people we interviewed, most of people answered negative, that the school is not sustainable. But with the time, we can reach the point until Abraham Lincoln becomes sustainable.

Paragraph 4:

Finally, I think the school´s Principal Milton, could add some rules to the “Manual the convivencia” about if students don´t recycle, respect the environment and reduce, they will receive a punishment. So, students will learn to be ecological and after some time, with the help of the school´s community we can have a sustainable school.

essential questions

This are some questions we are going to solve during the project:

1.      Does my school know why we’re interested in using sustainable development to help us achieve our school development and improvement objectives and what a sustainable school might look like?

2.     Does my school understand where it is in its process of becoming a sustainable school?

3.      How can we contribute to our school to make it more sustainable?

4.     People always say, we need to help to save the world and we can help this process with the design of a possible sustainable school. How will our school be?

- - In the world there are many problematic situations that damage the nature. Which is the main problematic situation that helps to damage the environment? and What can we do to avoid this problematic?

ABRAHAM LINCOLN SCHOOL OF                                                                                     TODAY .

HOW COULD BE THE ABRAHAM LINCOLN SCHOOL SUSTAINABLE IN THE FUTURE?

MORTAL TO INMORTAL.

Once upon a time, in a very far place in Europe, a little girl named Ema, was watching the stars at the garden of her house and she was thinking about How would be her lifeif she could be inmortal? In that momento, a very bright shooting star passed through the sky. Ema closed her eyes for a whileAfter some few secondsshe opened them again.              That    evening, Ema was quietthinkingLatershe went to sleep and told her pillow “I would give anything for   being inmortal,” thenshe slept

The next dayit was not the same as other daysit was differentit was a dream came true.

When Ema woke up, she was in a very brightclean and nice place. In that place, Ema felt in peace with the worldhappier than beforeshe felt like a goddessSuddenly, a strong voice said: “stand up me dear, come here”. Ema obeyed the strange voice and what a surprise she gotWhen she saw thar the strong   voice was from the biggest White Place’s godnamed Cees. He took Ema through all the White Palace and they met with all the godsFairy, Alan, Pesaidon and many other godsAfter meeting them, Ema realized that all this time, she had been walking in the White Palace! She remembered that only gods and goddesses could enter in the White Palace so, that meant she was a goddessOr this could be only a dream from which she could wake  up in any momentShe didn’t know what to do.

ThenCees asked her with his strong voice: “My Little girl, I like making people happy so, I would make true one of the wishes you haveWhich one would you like that I make true? Ema didn’t have any doubt about what she wantedShe wanted the same wish she said when the   shooting star passed over her houseShe told Cees to make her inmortal. Cees took his    trident and made a spell to Ema and she fell asleep

Suddenly, Ema woke up very scaredShe realized that she was wearing a White dress and a Crown made of flowers and the strangest thing was that her skin was brightningAll this characteristics were the same that a real god or goddess hadShe smiled and started looking around for answers for what was happenningVery quicklyall gods came amd made a straigh line in front of Ema and said: "Welcome to the White Palace, now you are part of this place." Ema couldn't believed and so, she closed her eyes and opened again but everything was the sameNowher dream   became real, she was inmortal, she was Valentine the goddess of the mortals.
